Tried & True // Oh She Glows Crispy Almond Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

oh she glows cookies

For some reason I haven’t posted this even though I’ve had the photos edited for ages! I think it’s because I’m extremely picky about food photos, and I felt like these were teetering the line of “not quite good enough” and “heck yeah, I love these.” Haha. Anyhow, I’m here to share with you another addition to the “Tried and True” column (and to my recipe box): Crispy Almond Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies by Angela Liddon of Oh She Glows.…

DIY Postcard Recipe Box Dividers

As you may remember from my recent post about my New Year’s resolution for 2018, my goal this year is to fill my new recipe box with all of my favorite recipes. I stocked myself up on recipe cards thanks to Rifle Paper Co., but I was having a really hard time finding some stylin’ recipe box dividers. Then I remembered my collection of vintage-style postcards… I like to pick up cool looking postcards whenever I’m traveling somewhere, and I…

How to Make Chunky Granola // Easy Customizable Recipe!

January 8, 2018

In this post I wanted to establish kind of a “create-your-own granola recipe.” It’s a basic chunky granola recipe, with guidance on how to customize it to your liking. We used baguette, cauliflower, lil’ smokies, pretzel chips, and Granny Smith apple chunks as dippers. It was a success, I think! We also played Codewords and Pit. If you haven’t played either of those…

nyt crossword

Alright, major nerd alert—I’m a total crossword puzzle geek! On a regular Saturday afternoon or during a break at work, you can probably find me working on a crossword puzzle. In pen. I like to hold it over Nate that I can finish one faster than he can 🙂 I wouldn’t say I’m a crossword master or anything (notice that my crossword puzzle book says “easy” puzzles haha), but I do get a lot of questions from people on how to…

Walter Mitty Clementine Cake (Plus My Own Clementine Glaze Recipe!)

November 15, 2017
walter mitty clementine cake

I tried making this cake for the first time a few years ago when The Secret Life of Walter Mitty came out, and I’ve been meaning to share it here on the blog ever since! I fell in love with this cake when I first saw it in the movie, and when I looked up the recipe, I was impressed by how unique it is! First, no flour. The closest thing to flour in this cake is almond meal. Good news…
