Shop Crush // T.J.Maxx + Home Goods

September 20, 2013

Guys…I’m kind of obsessed with T.J. Maxx and HomeGoods. It’s ridiculous. I can’t go in there without buying something. This week was no exception. Here are some gems I found at T.J. Maxx + HomeGoods (the ones near me combine them into one store) recently.

Oh, and a quick note about the photos. I took them on the table in my kitchen here, and since the lighting wasn’t amazing at the time, I ended up with this chiaroscuro-esque effect. Ha, I decided to just roll with it. So. Here are some super artsy shots of the gems I found this week.

This PackIt lunch bag in red. I love this bag because it’s simple, and it has eco-gel built into the liner. Simply store it in the freezer and take it out when you’re packing your lunch. It was $14.99 instead of $19.99.

This vanilla bean extract. 10 bucks (it’s a large bottle.) I’ll be honest—I tried it and wasn’t majorly impressed. I think it’s because there is Tahitian vanilla in there instead of just straight Madagascar Bourbon vanilla (which is the best kind.) But. I still say to go to these stores if you want extracts!

This shower cap for 4 bucks. T.J.Maxx is the place to go for spa accessories, fo sho.

These rubber spatulas. So so lovely. 5 bucks.

This dress by BCBG Max Azria. 40 sweet bucks.

Anyhow. Here is a nice summation of my favorite things to get at T.J.Maxx and HomeGoods:
  • clothing
  • bags
  • nice hair products
  • random beauty accessories (e.g. shower caps, spa headbands, makeup sponges)
  • gourmet (and unique) cookware
  • nice extracts, oils, syrups, and salts for cooking

That’s it for now. Have a wonderful weekend!

Love, Maurine

I did hear that TJ Maxx started online shopping. I feel like women everywhere are going to see a drastic drop in their bank accounts when this info gets out more haha.
