Since I’ve just recently moved into a new place, I thought I’d give you a taste of what my new dwelling is like. I live in the basement of a house, and I find it to be quite nice. It’s pretty much perfect, actually. The only downside is…not enough light. But I can live with that.
This is my little window leading to the outdoor realm. Because there were no curtains or blinds when I got here, I decided to spruce up the space with the garland I made for this blog post.
And this is my desk. Well…part of it. I like to decorate my workspace with pretty art, and that print on the right, if you remember, is something I was eyeing in this post about Lindsay Letters!
Also, Firefox is telling me that “eyeing” is spelled “e-y-i-n-g.” I don’t believe it.
And…that spelling of “eying” reminds me of Henry B. Eyring.
These are my clothes. This room doesn’t have a closet with a space for hangers in it, so I’m opting for having my clothes out in the open. I’m really liking it, actually.
My shoes are nestled below my clothing. And that pair of brown heels right there is ze best. Thank you, Mommy!
Since my bed consists of a mattress sitting on top of a box spring—which I also quite like—I decided to get a stool for my bedside table instead of a taller nightstand. Coasters from J.Crew. (They have “cheers” in different languages, which kind of means they have my name written all over them.)
I hope you have enjoyed my mini-room tour. And my sassy late-night commentary. I know you’ve gotten just a peek since I took pretty close-up shots, but those are my favorite room shots to take. Capturing the details, you know?
[Token closing so the “Love, Maurine” isn’t too abrupt.]
